# Configure the trade fee filter

{% hint style="info" %}
The trade fee filter is available only for MT4/5 and and isn't yet supported on cTrader.
{% endhint %}

You can specify particular instrument groups available on your MT server (such as "Cryptocurrencies" or "Metals") for which traders are allowed to charge the trade fee from the investors subscribed to traders' master accounts.

By default, the [trade fee](/copy-trading-pamm-and-mam-concepts/fee-list.md#trade-fee-also-called-volume-fee-usd-per-lot) (if included in a trader's fee plan) is paid by investors subscribed to this trader for all positions copied on the investment accounts.

To allow charging the trade fee only for specific instrument groups, do the following:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Go to **Investment Platform** and expand the required platform instance.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Go to **Settings** > **Trade Fee Filter**.

<figure><img src="/files/OKrrgh0K7fGAQ5uCrRo5" alt="Trade Fee Filter"><figcaption><p>Trade Fee Filter</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
In the **Securities Group** dropdown, select one or several instrument groups for which traders are allowed to charge the trade fee.

{% hint style="info" %}
If no instrument group is selected, the trade fee is charged for all available trading instruments.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Click **Save** to apply the changes.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.b2copy.b2broker.com/admin-guide/configure-b2copy/configure-the-trade-fee-filter.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
