Manage Admin panel users

Learn how to register new Admin panel users, assign them to appropriate user groups, and manage their profile settings, such as 2FA, passwords, and more

You must have the Admin User — Edit permission to register new Admin panel users, assign them to specific user groups, and mange their profile settings.

Register new Admin panel users

To register a new Admin panel user and create a user profile:

Expand the Admin Management menu.

Go to Admin Users in the menu.

If you have several platform instances (such as MT4, MT5, or cTrader), make sure you are in the correct instance, or go to it using the switcher in the upper-left page corner.

Click Create in the upper-right page corner.

In the popup that appears, fill in the following fields:

  • In the Name field, enter the user's full name.

  • In the Email field, enter a valid email address. Each user must be registered with a unique email.

  • In the Groups dropdown, select one or more groups in which the user will be included.

    At least one group must be selected to register the user. Groups can be modified later in the user profile.

  • In the IP Whitelist field (optional), enter IP addresses allowed for accessing the Admin panel.

Click Create.

The new user profile will be created, assigned an identifier, and displayed in the list of Admin panel users. The user is granted Admin panel permissions based on the groups in which the user is included.

By default, two-factor authentication (2FA) via email codes is enabled for all newly registered Admin panel users.

If you use a standalone B2COPY solution without an SMTP server, reset 2FA for newly registered users, as emails can’t be sent in this case.

Manage profile settings for Admin panel users

To modify a user profile:

Expand the Admin Management menu.

Go to Admin Users in the menu.

If you have several platform instances (such as MT4, MT5, or cTrader), make sure you are in the correct instance, or go to it using the switcher in the upper-left page corner.

Select the user and click the profile identifier in the Id column to open the profile details.

You can quickly find the user by entering their email in the search box.

The profile details are divided into the following sections:

Personal Details

  • Name — the user's full name.

  • Email — the user's email address. This field can't be changed.

  • Groups — one or more groups in which the user is included. The groups define the access permissions granted to the user in the Admin panel.

  • Status — the profile status. If set to Enabled, the user can sign in to the Admin panel; otherwise, access is blocked.

Click Edit to modify this section, except for the email address, which can't be changed.

Security & System Info

  • IP Whitelist — an optional list of trusted IP addresses from which the user can sign in to the Admin panel.

  • 2FA — the read-only field showing the current 2FA status. Possible values:

    • Email — 2FA via email codes is enabled

    • Google Auth — 2FA via codes generated in the Google Authenticator app is enabled

    • Disabled — 2FA is disabled

Click Edit to update the IP Whitelist for the user.

To reset 2FA for the user, click the Reset 2FA button (refer to Reset 2FA for Admin panel users).

To reset the user's password, click the Reset password button (refer to Reset passwords for Admin panel users).

After making any changes, click Save in the corresponding section to apply them.

Reset 2FA for Admin panel users

Resetting 2FA disables it for the selected user. For security purposes, after resetting 2FA, the user will be prompted to set up 2FA again using either email codes or Google Authenticator during their next sign-in to the Admin panel.

To reset 2FA for an Admin panel user:

Select the user and click the profile identifier in the Id column to open the profile details.

In the profile details, the 2FA field in the Security & System Info section shows the current 2FA state for the selected user. Possible values:

  • Email — 2FA via email codes

  • Google Auth — 2FA via codes generated in the Google Authenticator app

  • Disabled — 2FA is disabled

To disable 2FA for the user, click Reset 2FA.

Confirm the action in the displayed popup.

After resetting, the 2FA field in the Security & System Info section displays Disabled, indicating that 2FA is turned off for the user. During the next Admin panel sign-in, the user will be prompted to enable and set up 2FA via either email codes or Google Authenticator.

Reset passwords for Admin panel users

To reset a password for an Admin panel user:

Expand the Admin Management menu.

Go to Admin Users in the menu.

Select the user and click the profile identifier in the Id column to open the profile details.

You can quickly find the user by entering their email in the search box.

In the profile details, click Reset Password.

Confirm the action in the displayed popup.

After resetting the password, the user will receive an email with a newly generated password and a recommendation to sign in to the Admin panel with new password and then changing it in their user profile.
