General comparison of two B2COPY standalone versions
Learn the key differences between two B2COPY standalone versions
Standalone solutions of the B2COPY investment platform are available in two versions, which differ in account architecture, authorization methods, and investment logic. These standalone solutions are ideal for integrating the B2COPY functionality with external CRMs, portals, or other back-end systems.
Standalone solutions are supported only for MetaTrader 4/5.
The key distinction between two versions lies in whether the standalone solution uses payment accounts alongside trading accounts or operates solely with trading accounts, without requiring payment accounts.
Standalone solution with payment accounts
In this version, each client is assigned a payment account (serving as a wallet), which functions as the primary element for authorization and financial operations. Through this payment account, clients can:
Sign in (via credentials or seamless API-based authorization)
Deposit and withdraw funds
Pay fees to master accounts
Trading accounts (such as master or investment accounts) are created by B2COPY via the MT Manager, meaning these are new MetaTrader logins. This setup isolates payment and trading logic and enables flexible control over permissions, groups, and products.
In practice, most brokers create a dedicated payment account type in their CRM. This allows for easier automation — for example, automatically creating a payment account when a client accesses the Copy Trading or PAMM section.
Payment accounts don't participate in trading and therefore don't consume MetaTrader 5 license slots. They can be created in:
a preliminary group, or
a real group with trading disabled
Similarly, PAMM investment accounts can be created in preliminary groups. As a result, only PAMM master accounts actually occupy MetaTrader 5 licenses.
Standalone solution without payment accounts
In this version, clients sign in directly using an existing MT trading account (login and password). That account can immediately act as a master or investor — no need to create new logins or wallet infrastructure.
Additionally, any MT account linked to the client can be used as a wallet to fund or withdraw from PAMM investment accounts.
PAMM master and investment accounts are still created via new MT logins, as in the the standalone version with payment accounts.
This version is ideal for brokers who want to integrate the B2COPY investment platform on top of their existing trading infrastructure with minimal changes and want to support both PAMM and copy- trading features.
Both versions support seamless authorization via API, allowing tight integration with external CRMs, portals, or back-office systems.
