General comparison of two B2COPY standalone versions

Learn the key differences between two B2COPY standalone versions

Standalone solutions of the B2COPY investment platform are available in two versions, which differ in account architecture, authorization methods, and investment logic. These standalone solutions are ideal for integrating the B2COPY functionality with external CRMs, portals, or other back-end systems.

Standalone solutions are supported only for MetaTrader 4/5.

The key distinction between two versions lies in whether the standalone solution uses payment accounts alongside trading accounts or operates solely with trading accounts, without requiring payment accounts.

Standalone solution with payment accounts

Client onboarding

The client's first sign-in to the investment platform is performed using the login and password of their existing MT account that will then serve as their payment account. This account can't be used for trading.

Payment accounts

In this version, payment accounts function as the primary component for both authorization and financial operations. Clients can use their payment accounts to:

  • Sign in to the investment platform (or use seamless API-based authorization that can be configured)

  • Deposit or withdraw funds

  • Receive fees from subscribed investors

  • Transfer funds to and from PAMM investment accounts

Payment accounts don't participate in trading and therefore don't consume MetaTrader 5 license slots. These accounts can be created in either a preliminary group or a real group with trading permissions disabled.

Trading accounts

Master and investment accounts are created via the MT Manager. Each trading account has its own login and password and is used for trading activities on the platform.

Note on PAMM

PAMM investment accounts, which aren't used for trading, can also be included in a preliminary group. This ensures that only PAMM master accounts consume MetaTrader 5 licenses, optimizing resource usage.

Key Points

This standalone version keeps payment and trading logic completely separate, enabling greater flexibility in managing permissions, account types, and group configurations. Payment and trading accounts are handled independently, allowing for more precise control over access and operations within the platform.

Standalone solution without payment accounts

Client onboarding

The client's first sign-in to the investment platform is performed using the login and password of their existing MT account. This account is then used for authorization, financial operations, and can also serve as a master or investment account for Copy Trading or MAM (but not for PAMM). Clients can use this account to:

  • Sign in to the investment platform (or use seamless API-based authorization that can be configured)

  • Deposit or withdraw funds

  • Receive fees from subscribed investors

  • Transfer funds to and from PAMM investment accounts (any other MT accounts linked to the client can also be used for these transfers)

  • Immediately act as a master or investment account for Copy Trading or MAM (excluding PAMM)

This approach eliminates the need to create separate trading accounts or implement additional payment logic.

Trading accounts

Note on PAMM

Master and investment accounts for PAMM must still be created via the MT Manager, each with its own login and password, just like in the standalone version with payment accounts.

Key points

This version is well-suited for brokers aiming to integrate B2COPY functionality into their existing trading infrastructure with minimal changes, while fully supporting Copy Trading, PAMM, and MAM.
