Archive master and investment accounts
Master and investment accounts can be archived in the Back Office automatically or manually.
When archiving an account, the following happens:
If the account has active subscriptions, they are terminated, meaning that investment accounts are unsubscribed from master accounts, and all open positions are closed. Next, the fees are charged according to subscription fee plans.
After the subscriptions are terminated, the payment of fees according to fee plans is stopped.
The archived account isn’t displayed to clients in the Web UI; however, the account information remains available in the Back Office.
Automatic archiving
An account is archived automatically in the Back Office in the following cases:
The account is archived on the MetaTrader (MT) platform.
The account has been inaccessible in the MT manager app for a certain period, that is after 10 unsuccessful calls for the account that were made with the difference of 3.5 hours.
The common reason why an account becomes inaccessible in the MT manager app is due to being moved to the group to which the MT manager app doesn’t have access. In this case, it’s possible to restore access to the account in the MT manager app before it’s been archived in the Back Office.
Manual archiving
Master and investment accounts with zero and non-zero balances can be manually archived in the Back Office.
To archive an account:
Go to Clients > Accounts.
In the accounts list, find the account that you want to archive, and click Edit.
On the Edit account page, click the Actions button located in the upper-right page corner, and then select Archive in the dropdown.
If you archive the account with a non-zero balance, confirm the archiving in the displayed popup. In this case, the existing balance is kept on the archived account. If the account is unarchived, its balance will become available again to the account owner.
The account status is changed to Archived.
